November 7, 2009: Aboard the
Carnival Splendor.
Bingo Bugle officials, Bill Grossman and
Rosemary Torres (brown shirts), congratulate Grand
Prize Winner Dorthea Mahoney. Pictured also is the
ship captain. Dorthea split the final blackout game
prize money on a simultaneous bingo call with two
other players, Johnnye Russell of Hattiesburg, MS and
Joseph Backes of Edgewater, MD. Each of the 3
finalists recieved $6700.00. Dorthea won the playoff
game, was proclaimed the 2009 World Championship Bingo
Tournament winner and received an all expense paid
opportunity to attend next years' event aboard the
Carnival Valor.

Money were to be had at the exciting Slot Machine
Tournament. Pictured here is the 1st Place Winner
($4000) Jack Luciani, 2nd-Debra Haynes ($3000),
3rd-Kathleen Holloran ($1500), 4th- Carol Dorsch
($1000) and 5th Robert Luciani ($500)

The Texas Hold 'em Poker
Tournament had its inaugural at this year's event.
Especially exciting was the fact that the entire
tournament was played "electronically" on
the revolutionary PokerPro table. First place ($1200)
went to Margaret Perreira and 2nd place ($800) to
Joseph Backes. Not pictured is our 3rd place winner
($500), Susan Dore.
